EastEnders will re-air Syed (Marc Elliot) and Amira’s (Preeya Kalidas) wedding on BBC One next week.
The iconic instalment — the soaps’s 3924th, which originally aired as the second of two episodes on New Year’s Day on 2010 — sees Zainab Masood (Nina Wadia) reel after Christian Clarke (John Partridge) reveals the truth about not only her son’s sexuality, but about the passionate affair he’d had with him.
Zainab subsequently sets out to confront Syed on the matter, but what will transpire?
Will the wedding go ahead? Or will Christian’s revelation result in the ceremony coming to a halt?
I mean, we could tell you, but we’ll refrain from doing so for now, so that you can see the action unfold for yourself once again!
EastEnders was forced to halt production amid the coronavirus pandemic back in March, and as a result, episodes were rationed out at two a week instead of the typical four.
However, the pre-lockdown instalments have since completed airing, meaning that for the first time in it’s 35 year history, EastEnders has come off the air.
A special series — presented by Stacey Dooley — entitled Secrets From The Square has been airing on Monday nights, and it features in depth interviews with various cast members.
However, the Tuesday slot has been filled with iconic episodes of the BBC One serial drama — with Sharongate airing this week, after the legendary Den (Leslie Grantham) and Angie (Anita Dobson) two-hander kicked things off last week.
EastEnders airs Amira and Syed’s wedding on Tuesday, July 7 at 7:30pm on BBC One.
