Another 155 people in the UK have lost their lives after testing positive for coronavirus.
The announcement from the Department for Health and Social Care brings the national death toll to 43,730.
Meanwhile, the US has hoarded almost the entire next three months supply of breakthrough coronavirus drug remdesivir for itself. Donald Trump’s administration has bought the next 500,000 doses of the anti-viral treatment from manufacturer Gilead, leaving none for the rest of the world.
