Coronavirus news live: 202 more dead in the UK and people could be fined for not wearing face coverings on public transport

The UK’s coronavirus death toll rose once again yesterday as 202 more people were confirmed to have died from Covid-19.

Meanwhile, fines could be issued to people who do not wear face coverings on public transport, with transport secretary Grant Shapps confirming on Friday that penalties could be given to people who do not cover their faces when on buses, trains, trams and planes from Monday.
