Carla Connor (Alison King) was confused when a woman named Chelsey (Isobella Hubbard) confronted her in the ladies’ loos in Coronation Street, and tonight, we find out how the pair know one another.
Chelsey showed up on the cobbles during the latest episode, as she seemingly set about conning several residents out of their hard-earned cash.
However, a trip to the Rovers gave her quite the shock, as it became apparent that she recognised Carla — who’s been running the boozer in Johny (Richard Hawley) and Jenny’s (Sally Ann Matthews) absence.
Eager to find out all she could about the landlady, Chelsey quizzed Sean (Antony Cotton).
Following a showdown with Cathy (Melanie Hill) and Brian (Peter Gunn) — in which Carla came to her rescue — Chelsey thanked Carla by name, leaving the landlady somewhat confused.
Matters escalated when Chelsey cornered her in the loos and suggested they’d better have this conversation here, as her punters wouldn’t want to know how they know each other.
Carla was evidently confused, but Chelsey sheds some light on the matter during tonight’s episode, revealing that Carla had stayed at her squat when she was sleeping rough last year.
However, she then threatens to reveal what she got up to during that time period to Peter (Chris Gascoyne) if she doesn’t give her a grand.
