A 69-year-old woman has finally passed her driving test on the 960th attempt, reported the Daily Mirror. Cha Sa-soon, from Jeonju, South Korea, first attempted the written test in April 2005 and after failing it for the first time, she went on to tally up 950 attempts at the written test, at one point taking the test five days a week for three years. Thankfully her practical test only took her 10 attempts and her driving instructor at Jeonbuk Driving School said “when she finally got her licence, we all went out cheering and hugged her, giving her flowers”.
‘Floating body’ was a mannequin
Police in Canada said a dive team responding to a report of a suspected body floating in a canal discovered it was a mannequin. After officers responded to a report of a body floating in a canal in Ontario, the York Regional Police Dive Unit was summoned to the scene and the divers were able to recover the object and discovered its true identity. “There are no criminal concerns at this time,” said police in a Facebook post.
Osprey flies from Scotland to Barbados
An osprey has flown more than 4,000 miles from the Scottish countryside to a pond in Barbados, becoming the first one from the UK to be observed in the Americas. The Osprey Leadership Foundation told The Times that the bird’s ring number, which was added on 23 June last year in Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park, had been photographed in Barbados on 9 March. Although driven to extinction in England in the 18th century, the bird of prey has bounced back, with numbers increasing in Scotland.
