Women ‘should go topless in public pools to fight discrimination’

Catalan authorities said women should have the right to go topless at public swimming pools, noted The Telegraph. Following accusations of double standards between genders, the Catalan regional authorities said: “The sexualisation of women starts when they are young, and it accompanies us all our lives. That we must cover up our breasts in some spaces is proof.” However, the campaign has attracted criticism, with one sceptic tweeting: “In reality is there nothing better to sort out in Catalonia?”

Twin sisters have boys with twin brothers

Identical twin sisters have married identical twin husbands and now both couples have had a son. Brittany and Briana Deane, met their husbands Jeremy and Josh Salyers at the annual Twins Day Festival in Twinsburg, Ohio, in 2017 and married at the event the following year. Their one-year-old toddlers are known as “quaternary twins”. The Times said the only downside to the rare situation has been the “prurient” interest of strangers making “lewd suggestions” on the couples’ Instagram account.

Zookeeper dresses as ostrich and runs wild

A zookeeper in Thailand has dressed as an ostrich and run amok in the zoo, reported The Guardian. The staff member was taking part in a training drill designed to ensure the animal was unable to escape its enclosure. The Chiang Mai Zoo director, Wuttichai Muangman, revealed the “wild animal management plan” which simulated various emergency situations including an ostrich falling out of its nest. The man was eventually captured and escorted by three fellow staff members, including one man holding a giant fishing net.
