Ketanji Brown Jackson became the first Black woman on the US Supreme Court and Republican senators stormed out

On Thursday, in an historic 53-47 vote, the US Senate confirmed Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson as the first Black woman on the Supreme Court.

Three Republicans — Mitt Romney, Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins voted in favour of the appointment, while others not only either voted against it or abstained, but also stormed out of the chamber like petulant children.
