It’s rather annoying when soaps decide to leave ends looser that Kat Moon’s tongue and one whopper of an unconcluded story is the fate of Vincent Hubbard.
The husband of EastEnders queen Kim (Tameka Empson) was bundled into a car after crossing the world’s least intimidating gangland boss Aidan Maguire. Vincent had clearly not been scared off after being hit in the leg with Aidan’s walking stick in the snooker hall and so he decided it was time to get out of Walford.
With Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) assistance, Vincent fled, little knowing that he was trapped with a driver working for Aidan.
A gun was turned on Vincent but we never saw what happened next, nor did we see Vincent again unless we have been watching Hollyoaks and getting names mixed up.
However, EastEnders seems set to finally address the situation again, perhaps offering resolution to both Kim and the audience one way or another.
When Kim hears a taxi booking being made by the name of Vince Hubbard, she reckons this is either quite a massive coincidence or her husband could be closer than she thinks.
She tails Mitch’s cab and finds a man called Vince who has a wallet that exactly matches Vincent’s.
Wanting answers, Kim is baffled when the man runs away from her but when she confides in Phil, he immediately tells her to leave it alone.
However, Kim is hardly going to be able to put this out of her mind and she goes on a crusade to track down fake Vince and find out what is going on.
As Phil is left aghast that she won’t give up the search, he warns of ramifications and turns to Denise (Diane Parish) with a proposition.
Will she help him stop Kim?
