Former President Donald Trump has reportedly lost up to 25 pounds and is ‘a lot happier’ since leaving the White House – though he is believed to still be contemplating a 2024 bid.

Trump’s former aide Jason Miller said the ex-president has lost 20 to 25 pounds and is ‘tanned’, ‘rested’ and ‘a lot happier’, based on a recent in-person conversation they had in Florida.

Miller in a Sunday interview with British TV channel GB News attributed Trump’s improved health to ‘not having the (White House) kitchen there 24/7’ and ‘a little bit of golf and a whole lot of endorsement’.

The culinary team at the White House was always on standby, Bill Yosses, a pastry chef there from 2006 to 2014, previously told HuffPost.

Trump’s June 2020 presidential physical examination showed that he weighed 244 pounds, which for his height of 6’3 was around the threshold for obesity.

Besides having 24/7 access to the White House kitchen, Trump was known to love fast food. Trump’s preferred order was ‘a full McDonald’s dinner of two Big Macs, two Filet-O-Fish sandwiches, and a small chocolate shake – a total of 2,430 calories’, his former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski wrote in his book Let Trump Be Trump.

The 45th president also had a button at the Resolute Desk that he pushed when he wanted a Diet Coke delivered.

He was later placed on a diet under the White House physician’s watch.

Trump left the White House in January 2021 without conceding the presidential election to Joe Biden. Miller served as Trump’s spokesman after their time in the White House ended, but left in June to work as CEO of Gettr, a Twitter-like platform used by some prominent conservatives.

Though Trump is happier now, according to Miller, he reportedly continues to consider running for president in 2024.

Former White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham on Sunday told NBC’s Chuck Todd that she believes he will make a bid and have ‘no guardrails’.

‘I think he is going to run again and you know that’s why I’m speaking out the way I am. I don’t want him to run again,’ said Grisham, who has been promoting her tell-all book.

‘I think people aren’t remembering that if he does run again in 2024, he’ll have no guardrails because he will never have to worry about reelection, so he will do whatever he wants. He will hire whomever he wants, and I think that includes people of the January 6 mind,’ Grisham said, referring to the deadly Capitol riot.
