Britney’s father Jamie Spears was suspended as her conservator earlier this week but it’s now thought the popstar may not take to the stage once more.
Britney had been involved in a lengthy legal battle with her father in recent months after having so far been under the conservatorship for 13 years.
Jamie was suspended as Britney’s conservator this week, with a temporary one set to be appointed, but despite the singer having publicly celebrated the news, it’s been rumoured that she still might not perform again.
Britney had previously said she didn’t want to do her 2018 European tour.
According to TMZ, it’s uncertain whether the Toxic singer will ever return to touring in the wake of her freedom and is claimed to be in no rush to go back on stage.
The American outlet reported sources who have toured with Britney feel she ‘may never perform again.’
Back in July, the singer’s former manager Larry Rudolph resigned and claimed Britney also intended to retire from her career in music – but it’s not yet known what her plans are moving forward.
Judge Brenda Penny ruled on Wednesday that Jamie remaining in charge of Britney’s estate was ‘untenable’ and agreed with Britney’s lawyer Mathew S Rosengart it was in her ‘best interests’ that he be removed.
Conservatorships are generally used in cases of those who are elderly or those who have difficulty making their own decisions in their own affairs due to physical or mental limitations.
A hearing has been set for November to discuss whether it will finally be terminated.
Britney is currently on a trip away with her fiancé Sam Asghari, with the star having posted updates to fans since the news of the court ruling came out on Wednesday.
Her other half has been vocal in his support during the legal process and made his feelings clear once the decision had been made about her father’s involvement in her affairs.
Sam reacted to the news on his Instagram, sharing the short message: ‘Free Britney! Congratulations!!!!!!!!’
