Ally McCoist currently has Manchester City as his ‘slight favourites’ to win the Premier League title ahead of Liverpool and Chelsea.
Thomas Tuchel’s men currently top the Premier League, one point ahead of Liverpool and have a two-point gap over champions City.
Liverpool and City played out a thrilling 2-2 draw on Sunday with little to separate the sides.
Pep Guardiola’s men suffered a shock defeat to Spurs on the opening day but have since gone undefeated in the league, including an impressive 1-0 win over Chelsea last month.
Despite City’s lack of recognised striker up front having failed to replace Sergio Aguero in the summer, talkSPORT pundit and former Scotland international McCoist, feels City just have the edge this season.
‘I have to be brutally honest. I’m changing on a weekly basis here,’ McCoist said.
‘I have been really impressed with how Manchester City have played against the other big teams.
‘I still have a concern for Manchester City that they don’t have an out and out number 9 goalscorer.
‘I’m probably a little more concerned than Manchester City fans seem to be, to be fair to them.
‘They have been brilliant in possession in two away trips to Liverpool and Chelsea – and I actually thought they did alright in Paris to be quite frank.
‘I’ve still got them just, just, just slight favourites ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool.’
After the international break, City host Burnley, Liverpool travel to Watford and Chelsea visit Brentford.
