Greek Island of Crete hit by 6.5 magnitude earthquake

The Greek island of Crete has been rocked an earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale.

The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said the quake in the holiday destination had a depth of 1.24 miles.

It is not yet clear how many people have been hurt in Monday’s incident, with details still scarce.
