Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) has enough of villainous Russ’ (Rob Jarvis) threats in Emmerdale next week, and ultimately decides to do the right thing.
The soap mainstay has found herself on the receiving end of Russ’ wrath in recent weeks, after her ex arrived in the village.
Russ is determined to get his hands on grandson Harry’s inheritance, and therefore he’s been blackmailing Wendy in order to worm his way into Victoria Barton’s (Isabel Hodgins) life.
Wendy is harbouring a secret, something which she doesn’t want anyone in the village to discover, hence why she’s adhering to Russ’ demands.
But next week, she has enough, and decides it’s time Victoria knew the truth.
In tense scenes, she arrives at The HOP to confront Victoria, and comes clean about the type of man Russ really is.
‘Tell me you haven’t given Russ any of that money yet?’, she says, ‘and if so, don’t!’
Victoria, puzzled by Wendy’s change of heart, wants to know more.
‘I mean it, Vic,’ she continues, ‘You… you mustn’t give him anything!
‘You need to trust me.
\He’s not the man you think he is.’
Subsequent scenes will see a gun-toting Russ demand that Victoria hand over the cash, before taking both she and Wendy hostage up at the HOP!
He points the gun at Victoria, and in shocking scenes, a shot is fired.
But who will be injured?
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Wednesday September 8 at 7pm on ITV.
