Tom Parker has marked one year since he had a seizure which led to the discovery he had a brain tumour.

The Wanted singer, 33, was diagnosed with the incurable cancer last year and has since undergone chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Sharing a picture of himself looking lovingly at wife Kelsey, who he married in 2018, Tom wrote on Instagram: ‘A year of total madness!!!

‘1 year ago I had my first ever seizure which ultimately let to the discovery of a stage4 brain tumour.

‘Scariest time of our lives but we’re here a year down the line. I couldn’t love you any more.’

Earlier this month Tom gave his fans an insight into ‘the realities of cancer’, sharing a video of himself wearing a wrist support and a foot brace on his Instagram Stories.

The former pop star explained he was ‘getting his fitness levels back up’.

‘Basically when I walk, the front of the foot drags, when naturally your foot would rise up at the front and you would plant your foot back down again,’ he told fans, stating that it was ‘just one of the symptoms of my tumour’.

‘I’ve got this on as well – I look like f**king RoboCop!

‘If you see me knocking about with that on, you’ll know what it is.’

Tom explained that his tumour had damaged his mobility on the left side of his body, especially in his hand, continuing: ‘So this is basically just trying to get my fingers and all the tendons and muscles to extend. The realities of cancer!

‘I couldn’t even walk properly two months ago, couldn’t even get out of bed really, and then just over the last couple of weeks, I would say, walking has become a lot better.’

The star went in for an MRI scan on his 33rd birthday on August 4, and was pleased with the results after learning the tumour had shrunk.

‘I can’t tell you how grateful I am to receive this news. We left it a little longer between scans this time just to give time for the medication to work etc. But overall a great day,’ he added.

‘Thanks to all our healthcare team. You are truly wonderful. And thank you all you lovely people out there sending love and support. It really is so appreciated. Time to celebrate.’
