Peter Andre was delighted his son Junior passed all his GCSEs on Thursday, congratulating him in a heartfelt video.
The singer, 48, said he was ‘more than proud’ of his 16-year-old offspring, who he shares with ex-wife Katie Price, while admitting he pushed him to work as hard as possible.
The Mysterious Girl hitmaker was up early to find out Junior’s results but the teen decided to have a lie in before getting his grades.
Former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! campmate Pete got the happy news of Junior’s success just before he dashed off to perform as Teen Angel and Vince Fontaine in Grease musical It’s Electrifyin’.
The happy dad recorded a video message for Junior in the car on the way there, saying: ‘I waited as long as I could and Junior did wake up and we did see his results together but it’s not for me to say what happened.
‘So I will let him in his own time tell whoever he wants to tell but I just, literally, just made it before I had to leave because we’ve got the matinee show today and we’ve got tonight.’
Revealing the news on his Instagram Stories, Junior wrote: ‘I passed all 9 of my GCSEs. Today is a good day.’
Sharing a picture of his son on Instagram Peter added: ‘Junior, Emily and I are so proud of your GCSE results.
‘We saw how hard you worked. You may have thought we nagged you constantly to revise but in all fairness you never complained and kept your head down.
‘You passed every single GCSE. You absolutely deserve it. You smashed it. Bring on the next Chapter.
‘One proud dad and doc @officialjunior_andre @dr_emily_official.’
