In recent months Usain Bolt has moved his career is taking a somewhat unexpected turn – and the former sprinter is set to released an album next week.

The Olympian, 35, is releasing disc Country Yutes on his own label 9.58 Records and he has collaborated on the collection with his manager Nugent ‘NJ’ Walker.

Ahead of the release of the album next week, single It’s A Party has been shared with the video posted on social media.

The promo has a very tropical feel and Usain can be seen dancing party-goers in the swimming pool and under the palm trees at a hotel.

While his foray into music may come as a surprise to some, he actually launched a recording career last year with a remix of Ultimate Reject’s track Energy To Burn.

So far this year he has released a number of singles but he has not unveiled the song list for his new album.

Usain, who retired from sport in 2017 after winning eight Olympic medals, announced in June that he had secretly welcomed twin baby girls with his partner Kasi Bennett.

Sharing a picture of himself and Kasi on Instagram to celebrate Father’s Day, Usain could be seen posing with his expanded family.

Sharing a picture from the shoot on her page, Kasi wrote: ‘Happy Father’s Day to the greatest man & dad.

‘You are the rock of this family and the greatest daddy to our little ones. We love you world without end!’

Usain and Kasi welcomed their first child together, daughter Olympia, in May last year.

Olympia’s birth was announced by the Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness two months after her parents hosted a baby shower.
