Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is planning to start new signing Jadon Sancho in Manchester United’s Premier League opener against Leeds United, according to reports.

England international Sancho began training with his new team on Monday following a £73million move from Borussia Dortmund earlier in the summer.

The Red Devils completed their deal for Sancho on July 23 but he has been away on holiday after featuring for England at the Euros less than a month ago.

Speaking last week, Solskjaer suggested that Sancho and Raphael Varane – who is set to complete a £40m move to Old Trafford from Real Madrid – would be on the bench for United in Saturday’s Premier League opener against Leeds.

But The Sun are now saying that Sancho may start alongside Manchester United stars Bruno Fernandes and Bruno Fernandes and behind frontman Anthony Martial.

Despite missing United’s pre-season, Sancho kept himself fit with his own training regime following the Euro 2020 final defeat to Italy at Wembley.
