Faye Winter confronted Jake Cornish over his meddling at Casa Amor after he pulled her for a chat on Sunday’s Love Island, breaking down in tears as they spoke.

As the pair sat down, Faye was on a much more even keel than when she had consistently ranted and shouted at Teddy following the revelation of his sexual attraction to bombshell Clarisse Juliette.

Beginning with a bombshell, Faye stated: ‘Out of the whole situation last night, yours hurt me more than Teddy’s.’

‘You hurt me more than anyone in here [the villa]’, she shot at Jake.

Telling him that his goading made him a ‘family member or friend I wouldn’t want to have’, Faye detailed how unimpressed she was with his encouraging of the villa boys to explore their options while in Casa Amor, as he sat on the side lines in his official coupledom with Liberty, and threw back his own words of the girls being his ‘family’ and ‘sisters’ in his face.

As Faye accused him of pushing the boys to share a bed, Jake insisted he had only told them ‘to have fun’ and hoped there was ‘more to their relationship than just a five-second clip’.

However, as the conversation progressed, Faye struggled to hold back her tears as she told Jake he was ‘missing her point’ as she struggled with feeling betrayed.

Although Jake wasn’t in the mood to apologise to Faye, and defended himself, they seemed to reach some sort of stalemate-cum-resolution as they ‘agreed to disagree’ because they ‘wouldn’t see eye to eye’ once Faye had said her piece to him.

‘I think we’re too far apart to come to an agreement on it,’ said Faye, although they hugged as they finished their chat.

However, as their conversation unfolded, it had left fans baffled at Faye’s upset considering the grief she had given Teddy.

Straight after movie night, it had been Jake Faye had first angrily snapped at as she branded all the Islander boys ‘shady as f**k’.

They never had a length argument as Jake walked off furiously, as he admitted: ‘My blood’s boiling now.’

Faye then moved on to shout at Dale, Matthew and, ultimately, Teddy, in scenes which shocked viewers as they insisted ‘things like that just shouldn’t be aired on TV’.

Men’s domestic abuse charity Mankind Initiative also branded Faye’s behaviour ‘not acceptable’ in a statement to Metro.co.uk, before Faye’s family addressed the backlash on her Instagram account and asked fans to be mindful in their response as they drew their attention to the ‘highly edited’ nature of the show, meaning ‘you can never see the full picture’.

Love Island continues on Monday at 9pm on ITV2.
