Republican Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene called President Joe Biden a ‘piece of sh*t’ over how he’s handling the US’s withdrawal from Afghanistan, using a social media platform created by a staffer of former President Donald Trump.
Greene, a firebrand ally of the 45th president, recorded a video of herself at a gym and posted it on GETTR, a social media platform launched by Trump’s senior adviser Jason Miller.
‘Joe Biden, you are not a president, you are a piece of sh*t,’ Greene said in the clip. ‘Thousands of Americans are stuck over there in Afghanistan and you are letting the Taliban kick your ass, while you are lecturing governors about masks and vaccines. Do your job, bring these Americans home.’
Greene was referring to Biden’s remarks from the White House on Wednesday, which focused on criticizing Republican governors who have moved to prevent schools from requiring face masks. Biden not only neglected to mention Afghanistan during his briefing, but ignored reporters’ questions about the chaotic situation in Kabul.
The Republican from Georgia did not share the video on Twitter, but users following right-wing figures quickly found it on GETTR and shared it on the more widely used social media platform on Wednesday.
Greene was one of 16 Republican lawmakers who voted last month against increasing the number of visas for Afghan nationals who helped American troops.
Greene’s fiery remarks have gotten her suspended from Twitter, including last week when she tweeted that coronavirus vaccines are ‘failing’ and that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ‘should not approve the Covid vaccines’.
Meanwhile, Trump in recent days has put out multiple statements attacking his successor. On Thursday, Trump slammed Biden’s approach on a point similar to Greene’s.
‘First you bring out all of the American citizens. Then you bring out ALL equipment. Then you bomb the bases into smithereens—AND THEN YOU BRING OUT THE MILITARY. You don’t do it in reverse order like Biden and our woke Generals did,’ Trump stated.
‘No chaos, no death—they wouldn’t even know we left!’
