Hector Bellerin has completed a deadline day loan move from Arsenal to Real Betis.
The 26-year-old full-back underwent a medical in London on Tuesday and is expected to fly to Seville in the next 48 hours.
Since breaking into Arsenal’s first-team back in 2013, Bellerin has made 239 appearances in all competitions for the north London outfit and helped the club win three FA Cups and three Community Shields.
The Spain international did not feature in any of the Gunners’ three opening games in the Premier League, with Mikel Arteta opting for Calum Chambers and Cedric Soares at right-back.
‘Everyone at Arsenal wishes Hector the best of luck with Real Betis this season,’ a statement Arsenal’s website said this evening.
Betis, the club supported by Bellerin’s father, teased the defender’s arrival over the course of the evening on social media before officially unveiling their new arrival with half an hour remaining of the transfer window.
More to follow.
