Ariana Grande has encouraged her fans to get vaccinated in order to protect themselves against Covid-19 and the Delta variant.

The singer also revealed she herself has been vaccinated, although it is unclear if she has received both doses or just one.

Taking to Instagram, she posted a glam selfie of her wearing a face mask, and shared some important information on the Delta variant for her followers in the caption.

In particular, Ariana wants to help those who are ‘hesitant or curious’ about taking the Covid-19 vaccine to make their decision a lot easier.

The 28-year-old began: ‘Vaxxed n masked. This is your gentle reminder to please get your vaccines if you are eligible. This thing is not yet over!

‘Sharing some info because I care and if I can, I’d like to help anybody who is hesitant or curious with making their decision.

‘This delta variant is very new and since data is changing all the time, I’ll source some links for you to stay up to speed yourself but so far… we do know that it spreads much more easily compared to previous variants.’

The US has recently seen the highest number of new coronavirus infections worldwide, with the number of Delta variant cases on the rise.

Ariana went on: ‘Most of the spread is among unvaccinated people and in areas with low vaccination rates! And yes although you can still get it while vaccinated, the vaccine helps to protect against severe illness, hospitalisation, and death!

‘All great things to be protected against in my book. Oh and if you have already gotten sick with COVID-19, you should STILL get vaccinated!’

Ariana then included a link to a website which features ‘more information especially on some of the Covid myths that are circulating the internet’, as well as a number of health experts she recommends fans to follow.
