Looking forward to getting out and about over the bank holiday weekend?
Maybe you’re planning on cooking up a storm and having some friends visit? Or you’ve got a day trip planned?
All this travel will likely require a fair few trips on the Tube, if you don’t use a car. But is the line you need running on Saturday, Sunday and Monday?
Here are the latest bank holiday tube updates.
Bank holiday Tube closures
Luckily, normal service is expected across most of the lines.
As per the TFL website, there is expected good service among the following lines:
- Bakerloo
- Central
- Circle
- District
- Hammersmith & City
- Jubilee
- Metropolitan
- Northern
- Victoria
- TFL Rail
However, there are some lines that are expected to be closed.
DLR
The Docklands Light Railway will have no service between Westferry and Lewisham on Saturday 28, Sunday 29 and bank holiday Monday 30 August.
London Overground
On Sunday, August 29, there’ll be no service between Clapham Junction and Willesden Junction until 11:00.
Piccadilly Line
There’ll be a few closures in operation on the Piccadilly line.
On Saturday, Sunday and Monday, there’ll be no service between Wood Green and Cockfosters.
There will also be no service between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge across these same three days.
Replacement buses will be in operation on all three days.
London Trams
From Saturday 28 until Tuesday 31 August, there’ll be no service between Wandle Park and Beckenham Junction, Elmers End or New Addington.
Replacement Buses will operate.
Waterloo & City Line
There’ll be no services running on bank holiday Monday.
Service will resume from 6:07am on Tuesday, August 31.
