Stacey Solomon had an emotional day going shopping for her daughter’s nursery ahead of the arrival of her fourth child, her second with fiance Joe Swash.
It will be the first girl for the couple, who already share son Rex, two. Stacey is mum to sons Zach, 13 and Leighton, nine from previous relationships. Joe is also dad to 13-year-old son Harry from his previous relationship.
The Loose Women star teared up on Instagram as she shared with fans the bits and bobs she had shopped for.
She was absolutely beaming as she held up a ‘little pink frilly baby set’ for all to see.
‘I can’t even describe how weird it feels buying this stuff,’ she said.
Holding up more items over her growing bump, Stacey said: ‘There she is.
‘I’ve never bought anything like this in my life. Best day ever.’
Feeling nervous and excited the mum-of-three added: ‘My tummy keeps going funny. I can’t believe she’s coming.’
Speaking about the momentous shopping trip with Joe, who she joked was saddled up with ‘a thousand bags’, she said: ‘Then I go emotional in the @cornwall_animal_hospital charity shop I found this little pink frilly baby set and I can’t even describe how weird it feels buying this stuff.’
Her haul also included some baskets lined with a floral pattern, a pink toy bunny chosen by Rex and some ‘tiny’ babygrows, one white with pink hearts on it and another pink with white rabbits all over it.
Stacey recently revealed that the baby is due later this year, so she and Joe have decided to push back their wedding so all their kids can be there.
‘We are going to move it back a bit, maybe not until next year,’ she said in a Q&A session on social media.
‘But we both said we’d be a bit gutted to look back at our pictures and all of our babies weren’t there. So for the sake of a few months we will do it when they’re all here.’
Stacey added: ‘We’ll wait until baby’s born and then do it, all of us together.’
It has been a big few months for the family as they also recently moved into a lavish dream home.
