An explosive first look at tomorrow’s episode of Love Island has revealed Hugo Hammond breaking down in tears amid a heated exchange with Sharon Gaffka as Faye Winter rages in the background.

So far in the villa, Hugo and Sharon have had a fairly friendly relationship, coupling up on the first day before going their separate ways with different partners.

However, it appears that in Tuesday’s instalment of the ITV2 programme, Hugo is going to say something that Sharon deems unforgivable, leaving him crying over his blunder.

In the teaser, narrator Iain Stirling ominously says: ‘Tomorrow night, careless words cause chaos.’

Hugo is seen sitting down while talking to someone off-camera, stating: ‘I didn’t mean anything malicious, did I?’

Later on, he begs Sharon for forgiveness during a tense one-on-one.

‘How can I make this up to you? That’s what I want to know,’ he says.

‘There’s not a lot you can do, is there really,’ Sharon responds.

What could Hugo have said to have sparked such a strong reaction from Sharon?

While the boys console Hugo as he breaks down in tears, Faye doesn’t seem to believe he deserves any sympathy.

‘I don’t give a f**k if he’s upset. F**k off,’ she says.

Could this cause a divide between the boys and the girls in the villa?
While numerous Love Island viewers have been speculating over what Hugo said, others have been expressing their sadness over seeing Hugo upset.

‘All I can think about is whether or not Hugo is okay,’ one person tweeted.

‘Not Hugo crying! Who tf hurt him,’ another wrote.

Someone else remarked that they were going to struggle to sleep tonight ‘worrying why Hugo is so upset’.

‘Hugo: I didn’t mean anything malicious, did I!?” What the hell did you say mate,’ another stated.

Hugo and Sharon’s row tomorrow night isn’t the only thing that’s going to be causing drama on tomorrow’s episode of Love Island.

The villa is also going to welcome two new arrivals, Lucinda and Millie, who will undoubtedly shake things up as the girls now outnumber the boys.

Will Toby Aromolaran’s head be turned by the new arrivals after reassuring Kaz Kamwi that he’s committed to their partnership?

Love Island returns tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2 and is available to watch on ITV Hub.
