Liam Cavanagh’s (Jonny McPherson) world has been ripped apart following Leanna’s (Mimi Slinger) death in Emmerdale.
As Liam’s grief consumes him, Meena (Paige Sandhu) aka Leanna’s murderer, is watching from afar thoroughly enjoying watching Liam fall apart.
Meanwhile, Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) is also struggling.
Jacob and Leanna weren’t on the best of terms in the lead up to Leanna’s death and now, he too is overcome with grief and guilt.
With Liam still missing, Meena offers to find him and sets off out of the village.
Finding Liam at the crematorium, Meena apologises for his loss and suggests clearing out Leanna’s belongings after Liam says he can’t escape the memories of his daughter.
Later, Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) is concerned to see Liam piling bags of Leanna’s belongings outside.
Jacob confronts Liam and lambasts him for disposing of Leanna like she’s rubbish. As accusations fly between Jacob and Liam, Leyla later offers to leave her husband alone.
Liam asks her not to go as he needs her more than ever. The next day, Liam asks for Leyla’s help with Leanna’s funeral arrangements.
Jacob offers to help also, but Leyla’s not sure it’s a good idea.
Eventually, Leyla agrees to let Jacob help as long as they keep it a secret from Liam.
Leyla is only wanting to do the right thing, but how will Liam react when he finds out that Jacob has secretly been helping?
