Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) and Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) are left in horror in upcoming Coronation Street scenes, as they discover a fire has broken out in the salon flat.
Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) is sound asleep in the flat in question, as the fire rips through the property.
Eileen and Sally are out for a walk when they detect smoke nearby, while the sound of a fire alarm can be heard.
The cobbles duo soon realise that there is reason to be worried, as the smoke is coming from the flat above!
Eileen sets off to alert those who need to know, while Sally calls the fire brigade, but will they make it in time?
An ambulance soon arrives on the cobbles, and Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) sets off to the hospital with his partner and their unborn child, as Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) sinisterly watches from the window.
Prior to the fire, Hope steals a set of Alina’s keys, and after telling Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) that she wants nothing to do with the baby, she sneaks into Alina’s flat with sinister intentions in mind.
Is she responsible for the blaze?
Alina, meanwhile, recovers in hospital when she learns that an aromatherapy candle started the fire, she’s horrified, thinking she’s to blame.
But is all as it seems?
Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) reckons her great-granddaughter had a hand in what transpired, and soon Fiz and Tyrone are asking questions too.
Coronation Street airs these scenes Monday August 2 at 8:30pm on ITV.
