Floyd Mayweather is entirely open to a rematch with Conor McGregor in the boxing ring, labelling the Irishman as an ‘easy’ fight.

The pair met in 2017, the last time Mayweather boxed professionally and the only time McGregor has done so.

The fight ended with a tenth round victory for the American via TKO as McGregor left in defeat but with his pride intact as he hung in there with one of the greatest boxers of all time on his debut between the ropes.

Four years on and Mayweather is happy to do it again, as he continues to take big-money fights against opponents with no chance of beating him.

This weekend the undefeated former world champion will box YouTuber Logan Paul in an exhibition bout in Miami, despite being officially retired from boxing.

The 50-0 legend will happily keep strapping on the gloves in future, as well, with a rematch against McGregor a distinct possibility.

‘Absolutely. He easy,’ Mayweather told Showtime of the chances of another fight against the former UFC champion.

‘The beef is all these guys look up to me, steal my blueprint and then get to hating on me.’

The Money Man’s advisor and Mayweather Promotions CEO, Leonard Ellerbe, added that the relationship between Floyd and Conor has soured after seemingly being fine after their 2017 bout.

‘He’s been talking a lot of that s**t,’ Ellerbe said of McGregor. ‘Conor, if you’re listening, you can get that too. You can get that too. Most definitely, because that right there is very personal.

‘I think after everything where they left the ring and they hugged and all that, but things are a little different now. Things are a little different.’

McGregor has regularly spoken of a rematch and would certainly be keen to take one, if offered, given the huge amount of money that would be on the line.

However, he has much more pressing issues ahead of him in the form of a third fight with Dustin Poirier on 10 July as he looks to avenge the knockout loss he suffered to the Diamond in January.

McGregor stopped the American in their first bout way back in 2014, so the trilogy fight in Las Vegas will dish out the final bragging rights.
