Dame Joan Collins quickly shut down Piers Morgan as he attempted to ask her about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.

The legendary actress was a guest on the latest episode of the tell-all series, in which she celebrated 70 years in the entertainment industry.

While chatting to Piers about her relationship with Princess Diana, he then proceeded to question her on her thoughts about the royal family as of late – including the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have stepped down from royal duties.

He said: ‘What do you make of what’s going on with the British royal family now, with Meghan, Harry, the feud, with William, Charles?’

The 88-year-old then gave the most savage response possible, as she said: ‘My lips are sealed on that subject, I just don’t want to go on national TV and say what I think about Meghan and Harry, because look what happened to you.’

‘Exactly, thank you,’ Piers then said, as the audience began to clap.

Dame Joan was most likely referring to the comments Piers made about Harry and Meghan’s interview with Oprah Winfrey during an episode of Good Morning Britain, in which he said he ‘doesn’t believe’ the Duchess was suicidal.

More than 41,000 people complained to Ofcom regarding this, with the 55-year-old later leaving his position on the ITV show shortly afterwards.

Piers has also not held back on his thoughts, as he recently made another dig at Meghan on Twitter.

The subject of the interview was then changed, as a montage of clips of Dame Joan from the over the years began to play.

Piers then asked her about her life and career throughout the decades instead.

The star reflected on some of her most famous film and TV roles, while she also candidly opened up about her past marriages and losing her sister Jackie Collins to breast cancer in 2015.

Piers Morgan’s Life Stories continues next Saturday at 9pm on ITV.
