Nick Jonas revealed he was recently rushed to hospital after falling off a bike during filming.

Sources had previously told TMZ that the singer had to be taken to a nearby hospital in an ambulance following the accident.

Nick had time to recover at home before his appearance on The Voice US on Monday night where he is a coach.

Giving an update on his health, according to People, fellow coach Blake Shelton joked that the Jonas Brother star was fishing for ‘sympathy votes’.

The 28-year-old said on the show: ‘I’m feeling okay. I’ve been better but I’m doing all right.

‘I cracked a rib from a spill on a bike and a few other bumps and bruises, but I just want to go ahead and say that, in case I’m not as physically enthusiastic as I usually am. Blake, please don’t make me laugh too much because it kind of hurts.’

‘You’re just trying to get sympathy votes on this show,’ Blake quipped.

‘I’m glad to be here,’ Nick said.

The current series of The Voice US will be the Jealous singer’s last and he will be replaced by none other than Ariana Grande.

When asked on The Kelly Clarkson show if he had any advice for the Thank U Next star, Nick quipped: ‘I mean, Ariana — as we all know — is one of the best singers in the game and she’s gonna be an incredible coach. I think the only advice I would give is just not to trust any one of you.’

Nick is also set to host the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, which will be broadcast this Sunday.
