ITV have announced the lineup for brand new show Cooking with the Stars, starring Emma Willis and Tom Allen as presenters.
The new programme will see eight celebrities paired with a professional chef. They’ll act as mentors, teaching them how to up their game and go from keen cooks to restaurant level chefs.
Cooking with the Stars, which is being co-funded by Marks & Spencer, will feature comedian and actor Griff Rhys-Jones, Strictly Come Dancing head judge Shirley Ballas and DJ and songwriter Naughty Boy.
Performer and presenter Denise Van Outen will also be taking part, alongside actress Catherine Tyldesley, McFly’s Harry Judd, comedian and actor Johnny Vegas and TV presenter AJ Odudu.
The show will follow the celebrities as they take part in cooking battles, producing dishes under the guidance of their mentors. Their creations will then be judged by the remaining professionals.
The bottom two each time will then have to fight for their place in the competition by creating a dish on their own, without any help from their professional mentors.
Their fate will then be decided in a blind tasting taste, which means professionals could unwittingly send their celebrity partner home by critiquing their dishes.
The experts joining the celebrity contestants will be British chef Rosemary Shrager, food writer and restaurant owner Nisha Katona and regular chef on This Morning Joseph Denison Carey.
Michelin starred chef Mark Sargeant, chef director Jack Stein, Korean food expert and TV chef Judy Joo, chef and business owner Tristan Welch and Italian chef and restaurateur Francesco Mazzei will also take part.
Cooking with the Stars is expected to arrive later this year, although a release date has yet to be confirmed by ITV.
