Frankie Lewis (Rose Ayling-Ellis) will have her loyalty tested in EastEnders next week, when mum Katy (Simone Lahbib) returns to Walford.
The young woman was appalled to discover that Katy had abused Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) when he was 12 years old.
She struggled to come to terms with such a thing, but ultimately realised that Mick needed to do what was right for him, and therefore he reported the abuse to the police.
Frankie, meanwhile, provided her DNA as evidence to prove that she was biologically Mick’s daughter, which would, of course, confirm that Katy had abused him.
Next week, Mick sets about writing his victim impact statement ahead of the court case, but little does he know that Katy has arrived back in Walford.
Frankie soon finds out, however, as she sets her sights upon her mum, and emotions run high when Shirley (Linda Henry) claims that Mick’s victim impact statement will be enough to put Katy away.
Frankie later crosses paths with her mum, who asks for her to provide a character reference!
The young woman later claims that she turned down Katy’s request, leaving Shirley proud of her loyalty.
However, it’s clear that she’s lying, and she’s evidently conflicted.
Will Frankie give Katy what she wants? If so, will this ensure that the abuser walks free?
