Ariana Grande’s family are reportedly thrilled with her surprise marriage to Dalton Gomez.
The Positions singer tied the knot with the real estate agent at her California home over the weekend in a private wedding ceremony.
A small selection of friends and family were in attendance, including Ariana’s mother Joan and brother Frankie, who have reportedly welcomed Dalton into the family with open arms.
According to Entertainment Tonight, a source said: ‘Ariana’s brother Frankie and her mom are so happy for her. They think Dalton really balances Ariana out and allows her to be her true self.’
Sharing an insight into Ariana and Dalton’s lowkey relationship, the insider said: ‘Ariana appreciates that Dalton accepts her and loves her for who she is. He’s a little nerdy and hardworking and she loves that about him.
‘He’s also very protective over her and goes above and beyond to make her happy.
Reports of the wedding first emerged on TMZ before Ariana’s reps confirmed the happy news to People and said: ‘They got married. It was tiny and intimate — less than 20 people.
‘The room was so happy and full of love. The couple and both families couldn’t be happier.’
The newlyweds’ romance is believed to have begun in February 2020 when they were spotted on a date together at Bar Louie in Northridge, California.
It’s not clear how they met but they do have Miley Cyrus as a mutual friend. Their relationship was confirmed when Dalton made an appearance in the music video for Ariana’s number one single, Stuck With U featuring Justin Bieber, in May.
Their relationship has been kept mostly under wraps since then but Ariana, 27, announced she was engaged to Dalton, 25, in December, sharing photos of them being affectionate and, of course, her sparkling engagement ring, which includes a pearl.
It’s the first marriage for Ariana, who was previously engaged to Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson in 2018.
