On our spring bank holiday, May 3, many will want to relax – hopefully enjoying some nice weather.

But for some of us, catching up on chores, food shopping and banking tasks is a must on our rare day off.

That said, a stroll through Aldi’s aisles, looking for bargains and trying out some of their latest products, might be quite enjoyable.

But is Aldi even open on bank holiday Monday, or the rest of the weekend?

Here’s what you need to know…

For the early May bank holiday, Monday May 3, you can expect your local Aldi to be up and running.

On Saturday May 1, typical opening times start at 8am, with shops closing at 10pm.

On Sunday May 2, shops open at 10am and close at the earlier time of 4pm.

But surprisingly, Aldi’s opening hours on Monday May 3 are actually a bit longer than the previous day.

Most shops will open at 8am and close again at 8pm.

Aldi will open again at normal times on Tuesday – based on its regular hours.
