Ashley Cain has joined in with an emotional tribute to his baby daughter Azaylia after her death.
Azaylia died last week at eight months old following a battle with an aggressive form of leukaemia.
The former Ex On The Beach star took a moment on Thursday night to remember his daughter with a candle-lighting tribute.
As supporters of Ashley, 30, lit candles for Azaylia, the TV star followed suit and shared a picture of his on Instagram.
The photo showed a small candle in between two Lion King stuffed toys.
Ashley wrote: ‘Tonight we lit a candle in the chapel of rest to join others in lighting up the world in honour of my beautiful daughter Azaylia.’
His daughter had fought cancer since she was just eight weeks old, with Ashley and girlfriend Safiyya Vorajee, 34, launching a fundraiser intended to get her treatment in Singapore in the hope of saving her life.
Tragically, her cancer worsened to make the CAR-T treatment she was supposed to have for a year no longer possible or effective after doctors found more tumours in Azaylia’s body.
Her parents had reached over £1.5million to fund her treatment, but fans have now donated a further £100,000 since the weekend.
Safiyya recently confessed that ‘every day is getting harder’ following her baby girl’s death.
Alongside a sweet photo of her daughter smiling up at her, the aesthetic practitioner wrote: ‘I would like to take a moment out of my day to thank each and everyone of you for your heart felt messages, amazing videos that you have created for us, poems, candles that have been lit, balloons, music, flowers etc [sic].’
She then revealed: ‘It’s so beautiful Everyday is getting harder but Azaylia taught me strength, and courage which she held 100% now I need to make her proud and do the same.
‘I no your looking down on me. (sic)
‘A special Thankyou to beautiful Azaylia for teaching all of us the true meaning of life I’m honoured to be your mummy.’
She later added: ‘Morning time not seeing your beautiful smile hurts so deep inside, Azaylia your beautiful so pure, I miss you so so much words fail to explain the heartache, I am so proud of you, everyday I will carry you with me in my heart.
‘I no your looking down on me, & all the lessons you’ve taught me I will keep that with me forever. Thankyou for everything baby girl x x x [sic].’
