Mick and Linda Carter (Danny Dyer and Kellie Bright) are back where they belong in EastEnders tonight (March 22), as they reclaim of the Queen Vic.
The much-loved couple gave up their beloved boozer last year following Linda’s battle with alcoholism.
Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) subsequently took over, but with the legend having alienated just about everyone following her bizarre, twisted revenge on Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), she agreed to sell the pub back to its former owners.
Following her farewell party last week, Sharon vacates the premises, allowing Mick and Linda to take back control.
Tonight’s edition of the BBC One soap see the soulmates set foot behind the bar for the first time in months, and they’re evidently overjoyed to be back where they belong.
Mick delights, as he opens the doors of the boozer to the punters of Walford, much like he did back in 2013, following his arrival on the Square.
It’s a rollercoaster of emotions for the landlord tonight, as in addition to moving back home, he receives word from DI Pine that sex abuser Katy Lewis (Simone Lahbib) has been arrested.
What’s more, the police intend to appeal for more survivors, leaving the publican worried that people will discover the truth about what he went through.
Will Mick be able to come to terms with this news?
Meanwhile, Stuart and Rainie Highway (Ricky Champ and Tanya Franks) are puzzled as to how everything worked out for Mick and Linda, but when Stuart gets wind of a woman having been arrested on historical child abuse offences, he starts to piece it all together.
