Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) will be seen with a self-satisfied smirk on her face in next week’s Emmerdale when she conspires to get Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) the sack. But might Gabby end up dealing with a few shocks of her own?
Malicious Gabby will be seen planting a missing wallet belonging to Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) in Dawn’s bag in a bid to get her the push. It’s a ploy that works and when Dawn is dismissed by Jai (Chris Bisson), an impressed Kim (Claire King) can’t help but notice the smile playing across Gabby’s lips.
Recognising a fellow schemer when she sees one, Kim then informs Gabby that she knows how Dawn’s downfall was masterminded and says that the youngster is definitely showing potential. But a curveball then comes in the form of Jamie (Alexander Lincoln), who reveals he’s heading back to the vets’ permanently – and that Dawn will be receptionist at the practice.
Sensing her chance to be in Jamie’s orbit slipping away from her, Gabby is furious. And Kim only makes things worse than she accuses Dawn of using her son for his money – comments that immediately earn the ire of Jamie.
By the week’s end, Gabby is set to be left crestfallen, but this is by no means the end of this particular tale. Producer Sophie Roper recently revealed that an upcoming one-night stand will have far-reaching repercussions. ‘Jamie learns that he is going to be a father for a second time after a night with Gabby,’ said the show boss.
It’s a state of affairs that looks set to see Gabby morph from being Kim’s protégé into a possible usurper at Home Farm.
‘I’m excited that Gabby is at the heart of the village as she sets her sights on Home Farm and I can tell you this year is going to hold even more drama for Gabby than ever, says star Rosie Bentham. Let the power struggles begin!
