Harry Brant, son of supermodel Stephanie Seymour, has tragically died at the age of 24, it has been confirmed.
The sad news was confirmed by Brant’s family who said the cause of death was an accidental drug overdose, the New York Times reports.
In a statement, the family said: ‘We will forever be saddened that his life was cut short by this devastating disease. He achieved a lot in his 24 years, but we will never get the chance to see how much more Harry could have done.
‘Harry was not just our son. He was also a wonderful brother, loving grandson, favorite uncle and a caring friend.
‘He was a creative, loving and powerful soul that brought light into so many people’s hearts. He was truly a beautiful person inside and out.’
Brant followed his mother’s footsteps in the fashion world and was a model himself, appearing in campaigns for Italian Vogue and Balmain.
He had also released a unisex make-up line with his brother for MAC, and wrote as a teenager for Interview magazine, which was once owned by his father Peter Brant.
Following the launch of his MAC collection, Brant told W Magazine: ‘I really think that once you leave high school, you realise that being normal is something that people want to shy away from, and the more true you are to yourself and the more individual you are, the more people are inherently attracted to you.’
In 2016, Brant was arrested for drug possession and other minor charges. His parents reveal he had planned to check into a rehabilitation centre this year.
Stephanie, 52, and Peter, 73, also share son Peter II, 27, and daughter Lilly Margaret, 16.
The late model also had an older half-brother from his mother’s previous marriage to guitarist Tommy Andrews, and four half-siblings from his father’s previous marriage to Sandra Brant.
