Robbie Williams blames dancing badly in Take That on his ‘bad back’

Hole lotta trouble: Robbie once fell down trench in road

Robbie Williams blames dancing badly in Take That for destroying his enjoyment of favourite hobby football -after revealing he has arthritis in his back.

The Angels singer spilled he needs painkilling jabs before he can have a kickabout these days.

And the ailment is particularly gutting for the dad-of-four, who usually heads up a team at star-studded charity event Soccer Aid and once had a pitch installed at his former mansion in Beverly Hills.

‘I have a back problem and can’t play soccer any more,’ the Let Me Entertain You star said.

‘I have arthritis but have had injections for it and now I am not in pain. For years, every day, I was in pain.’

The 46-year-old suspects the issue was triggered during his Take That days, when he pulled off stunning dance moves in their music videos.

‘There was four other boys in the band, so I cannot blame it all on dancing. They don’t have bad backs, so it must be something I did,’ he said.

And Robbie reckons he is lucky to still be intact anyway, after a calamitous fall down a hole in the road in his boy band days.

‘I was out jogging, in Stoke-on-Trent, back from my nan’s to our house. It was night time. I was running past a Spar (shop) and there was roadworks going on…maybe somebody had moved the warning signs around it.

‘All of a sudden I found myself underground,’ he told That Gaby Roslin podcast.

‘Somebody passing by just went, “You all right?” I went, “Yeah, how are you?”

‘Then I got out of the ground and carried on running but I found that hilarious. I still find that hilarious.’

The 48-year-old, who came out in 2013, has little sympathy for fans who fell in love with his character Michael Scofield — declaring it’s not his fault if they lust after ‘a fictional straight man’.

Miller, who last starred in the Fox show in 2017, revealed he won’t return for a rumoured sixth series.

‘I’m out. Of PB. Officially. Not bec of static on social media (although that has centered the issue). I just don’t want to play straight characters. Their stories have been told (and told),’ he wrote in an Instagram post.

‘So. No more Michael. If you were a fan… I understand this is disappointing. I’m sorry.’

But he added a caveat to his apology, posting: ‘If you’re hot and bothered bec you fell in love with a fictional straight man played by a real gay one… that’s your work.’

Duvet know we’re gay? K-Stew and Mackenzie play a couple in festive movie Happiest Season

K-Stew’s character Abby plans to propose to girlfriend Harper (Mackenzie Davis) at her future in-laws’ festive gathering. But when she arrives, Harper admits: ‘I didn’t tell my parents I’m gay.’

The ladies have to creep around and convince mum and dad they are just pals.

And 37-year-old Levy — David Rose in Emmy-winning Schitt’s Creek — adds to the hilarity by playing their supportive pal, whose mum has also failed to clock that he is gay.

The film, to be released later this month, provides bisexual Twilight actress Kirsten, 30, with some light relief ahead of her next role — playing Princess Diana in new flick Spencer.
