Jessica Plummer found the first night in the I’m A Celebrity castle a bit of a struggle – breaking down in tears as she missed her little girl.

The EastEnders star – who blew fans’ minds by revealing she used to be in pop group Neon Jungle – was getting ready for her first night in Gwyrch Castle when she needed to air some feelings.

Victoria Derbyshire was first to notice her new campmate crying, and rushed to console her.

Jessica then revealed it was over missing her four-year-old daughter, Noa.

‘I said to my daughter before we left each other that if she misses me when she’s at home, if she looks for the moon, I can look at the moon and we can both see it,’ she wept.

The emotional moment saw Victoria, as well as Giovanna Fletcher and Hollie Arnold, run in to give her a cuddle and make sure that she was OK.

‘We’re all in the same situation and we’re all in it together,’ Jessica later to the cameras.

‘This is the experience of a lifetime and I want to make my family proud so they don’t want to see me crying and upset.’

And we’re sure she is making her little girl proud, as even after the first day, she has been thrown into some gruelling challenges.

i'm a celebrity first trial

Starting off by abseiling over a cliff edge (something that made Jordan North physically sick just with nerves), Jessica was later thrown into her first trial.

The team managed to land seven stars out of 10 for camp, but after discovering they were being served rabbit, Jessica refused to eat it.

Ignoring her hunger, the star said that she couldn’t eat it as it reminded her of her childhood pet, Boris.

At least she’s safe from the next trial – with Shane Richie and Jordan North being voted up to the task of the Viper Vault by the public.

Good luck fellas!

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! airs nightly at 9pm on ITV.
