Friday’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here saw the 12 campmates become 11 after the first elimination.
Before the first celebrity was voted off from I’m A Celeb, viewers were treated to toilet dramas technical difficulties and a tongue-twisting challenge from Shane Richie and AJ Pritchard.
Emotional moments were also shared as the group (finally) shared a delicious meal for their last night as a 12-piece and the campmates vowed to be friends for life after their shared experience in the castle.
But what exactly happened on last night’s episode?
Shane Richie and Jordan North had some toilet issues
The episode kicked off with Shane Richie lamenting a rubbish night’s sleep after tummy troubles meant he spent most of the night on the privy.
Beverley Callard revealed to Shane that she was having the opposite problems to him and hadn’t been able to go to the toilet, before asking the campmates to sing so she wouldn’t worry about them hearing noises when she went in to the privy.
Jordan North ended up giving the camp toilet a good clean after the others moaned about a male campmate having bad aim and weeing on the floor.
While everyone denied it was them had sprinkled when they tinkled, AJ Pritchard admitted they’d done some detective work and watched to catch the perpetrator – who they determined to be Jordan – in the act.
He told Victoria Derbyshire: ‘Yesterday, me, Shane and Mo waited around to see after everyone went into the toilet and checked.
‘It really annoyed me because every guy was saying it wasn’t them.’
Vernon Kay and Mo Farah dressed up for the Castle Coin Challenge – which was hit with technical difficulties
Vernon and Mo dressed up as Robin Hood and Friar Tuck and were tasked with a series of maths puzzles which they had to answer by firing an arrow at the correct numbered target.
The pair managed to smash their challenge, but before they could take their bag of coins to Kiosk Cledwyn, viewers were left frustrated as their screens froze.
They took to Twitter to lament the technical issues, but the show was soon back on air – however the campmates did not end up getting a treat of chocolate coins as they got Cledwyn’s question wrong.
Shane and AJ smashed the Chamber of Horrors trial
AJ and Shane put their differences aside and made sure the campmates would ‘eat like kings and queens’ when they took on their latest trial.
The pair were sealed into chambers with their bodies below ground and their heads above it, where they had to remove stars from a thread using just their mouths and tongues.
The pair were on a time limit and had to take turns in a relay, but managed to get 11 out of 12 stars in the end, after running out of time on one of the challenges.
Shane said after the trial: ‘Tonight we eat like Kings and Queens,’ before adding: ‘We’re back on track now with everybody having full plates’.
The camp enjoyed venison for their last meal as a group of 12
The I’m A Celebrity campmates were treated to venison thanks to AJ and Shane’s successful trial, and the mood in the camp was lifted by the delicious meal that was cooked by Vernon and Victoria.
The group also had a heart to heart as they promised to be friends for life and recounting their favourite memories of the experience so far before at their last meal all together.
Shane told his fellow campmates: ‘You get to that point in your life around your 50s where you think “I’ve got all the friends I need”, but since I’ve come here I genuinely think each and every one of you I could phone and just go “phooo” and put the phone down.
‘We meet as strangers and leave as besties.’
Giovanna Fletcher added: ‘This group has been amazing, I do feel like we’ve made friends for life.’
Hollie Arnold, Ruthie Henshall and Jessica Plummer all got teary as they recounted memories, while Beverley Callard added: ‘I’ve been in Coronation Street for 31 years and I truly have never worked or been with such a bunch of wonderful people as this, I’m proud to have you as friends.’
The first campmate was voted off the show
Following the group’s love-in, the inevitable had to happen as Ant and Dec entered the camp to break the news of who would be leaving to the group.
Revealing that the final two was between Ruthie and Hollie, the hosts revealed that the public had decided to vote Hollie out of the camp.
The Paralympian was gutted to be the first one to leave the show, saying to Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly: ‘I feel like I never really knew what to expect so it was just like go in there and try and enjoy every single moment of it. It was a crazy experience for me.’
She added: ‘I was so nervous. I had a feeling it might be me. I am slightly superstitious, when you guys were saying the names. I was thinking, “It’s going to be me”.
‘But honestly I love everybody in there and I love what their values are and what they mean to me. And I will never ever forget this experience, ever.’
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here airs daily from 9pm on ITV.
