Emma Willis is so terrified she’ll trip over during The Voice final on Saturday that the show’s bosses have given her a walking stick.
The upcoming last episode will see Will.i.am’s act Gevanni Hutton, Tom Jones’ Jonny Brooks, Meghan Trainor’s Brooke Scullion and Olly Murs’ Blessing Chipata battling it out in a bid to be named winner of the ninth series.
But Emma, 44, has one thing playing on her mind – whether she’ll be able to stay on her feet.
‘I’ve got a right old number and it’s very sparkly,’ Emma told Metro.co.uk. ‘My only problem is this could be my year to fall on my face.’
She explained: ‘It’s long and it’s kind of fish taily at the bottom. It’s an incredible dress. Normally I have an amazing guy called Ed who is the assistant floor manager who tells me where I need to go and he always holds my hand up the stairs to get me up.
‘But we can’t touch each other, so they’ve bought me a walking stick. I sh*t you not, it’s in my dressing room.’
Emma panicked: ‘I think I’ll probably end up on my face at some point. It’s long and it’s tight. Luckily we’re not live so if I do, hopefully there’s a very quick edit they can do.’
After a seven month hiatus thanks to the pandemic, The Voice returned last week for series nine’s long-awaited semi-finals, where the remaining nine acts were whittled down to just four.
Coach Olly revealed that the final will be a little different this year as the judges won’t be able to celebrate with the winner thanks to coronavirus filming regulations.
The Voice final airs on Saturday at 8.40pm on ITV.
