If there’s one thing that Don Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) can’t stand, it’s a grass – so when Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) returns to EastEnders and promptly goes to the police about the recent heist, Phil is incandescent – but will he resort to murder to silence Kush and stop his own family facing the consequences of the crime?
Phil is already wary of Kush and Kat (Jessie Wallace) and when they return, he makes it perfectly clear that he doesn’t trust them – and only hands over a tiny portion of the money Kat is owed from the job.
As this leaves Kat trapped, Kush is worried about the future and what could happen to everyone else because of the problems he himself caused.
Without informing Kat, he takes a huge move and hands himself into the police and when Phil and Kat find out, they are aghast.
Worried that Kush is going to drop the rest of them in it, Phil makes a dangerous threat and he means it – is Kush more likely to be doomed by the case against him or the rage of Phil?
With Davood confirmed to be leaving the show, it doesn’t look like a happy ever after is on the horizon for him.
But if he crosses the Mitchells, could Phil make sure he never sees the light of day again – one way or another?
