The revelation that Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) was groomed and sexually abused by his care worker when he was 12 has left fans feeling shocked and horrified so it will be no surprise that when Katy Lewis (Simone Lahbib) turns up in EastEnders next week that she will not be given a warm reception from the audience.

And that will most certainly be the case even moreso when her manipulative side rears its head when she first of all denies that Frankie (Rose Ayling-Ellis) is Mick’s daughter.

And when she and Mick sit down to talk things through and he recounts his memories of their ‘relationship’, she gaslights him into believing that he imagined it as she refutes that none of it actually happened.

As her controlling nature becomes apparent, Mick’s head is messed up – and she even wants to use him to try and talk Frankie round to her way of thinking too.

When Frankie asks to meet up, Katy asks Mick to go with her so that they can ‘clear things up’. But as they all come face to face, will Frankie see through her mu’s behaviour?

And will Mick come to accept that he was abused and not in a loving relationship when he was supposed to be safe in her care?

Or is Katy capable of having such a hold that she evades justice and even has Mick believing he has made it all up?
