Callum Highway (Tony Clay) is probably regretting the day he ever popped on his policeman’s hat and polished his truncheon in EastEnders – he has experienced nothing but trouble and tested loyalty since the beginning, with DI Thompson trying to get him to betray Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).
In the wake of the drama around the heist, Callum will face another challenge when Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) is brutally attacked and left to die – and his partner Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) has a motive for wanting him dead.
At the moment, the Mitchell family’s usual associates are distancing themselves from them after Ian reported the family to the police for their involvement in the heist.
With Ben finding this out, he angrily confronted Ian – and given that Ben has killed before in the heat of the moment and has recently been involved in some dodgy business this time, he isn’t an easy person to rule out.
As Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) sets his sights on an unnamed suspect, Callum continues his questioning over the case – but it soon looks set to lead him to someone closer to home.
Will he uncover evidence that Ben had something to do with what happened to Ian? And if so will he arrest the man he loves – or work with him to cover up the crime?
And what if it is Phil who is involved? After winning the stone heart of the Mitchell Don, will Callum now have the opportunity to take him down?
Or will he put faaaaaamily first?
