Eamonn Holmes has shared a heartwarming picture of himself and Rochelle Humes sat on the This Morning sofa amid reports he and Ruth Langsford have been axed from the show.
It’s been claimed the presenter and his wife are being replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary on the ITV daytime programme after they impressed bosses while filling in for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield over the summer.
Paying no mind to the headlines, Eamonn, 60, took to Instagram where he posted a throwback snap alongside Rochelle.
‘Just got sent this by my lovely friend Rochelle. That’s when a picture is worth a thousand words. 👍🙏,’ Eamonn captioned the photo.
Fans flooded Eamonn’s post with comments, with many saying they were going to boycott This Morning if the presenter and his wife are axed.
‘I won’t be watching on Fridays from now on, Eamonn and Ruth you are the best presenters on This Morning, real and not self obsessed,’ penned one.
Another added: ‘Definitely won’t be watching anymore on a Friday! Have loved watching you both, you’ve made my Friday mornings so much fun. Take care both.’
Bosses at This Morning have denied axing Eamonn and Ruth, who have presented the programme for 14 years, from the show.
Addressing the recent reports, a spokesperson for This Morning told Metro.co.uk: ‘We have a stellar presenting line up on This Morning in Holly and Phillip and Eamonn and Ruth.
‘Any additions to this line up will be announced in due course.’
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
