Clare Crawley’s instant connection with Dale Moss has helped the smitten couple create The Bachelorette history.

The 39-year-old raised plenty of eyebrows when she declared she’s met her ‘husband’ mere seconds after greeting Dale, and things didn’t slow down from there.

After two weeks of filming, the pair ended up taking the plunge and getting engaged as they made bold claims about their whirlwind romance.

Looking back at the first night in the mansion, Metro.co.uk’s body language expert Judi James stated: ‘Of course there is such a thing as love at first sight, but it would rarely look quite this camera-angle perfect.

‘Styled, coiffed and lit to within an inch of their lives and clearly aware their best angles are being shot as the cameras swing in around them (with some shots looking suspiciously like second takes), Clare’s perfect smiles and am-dram gesticulations makes it look like she’s auditioning for a “When Melania met Donald” biopic.’

As for Dale, she added: ‘Dale’s small eye-dart and face-checking signals suggest he’s taking his cues and leads from her.’

Judi added: ‘I hope they play the sweeping music soundtrack over speakers to them as they deliver their speeches to one another and move in for their PDAs and I hope they give them a recording to take home too, so they can keep the romance alive in private.’

She continued: ‘Like all fans of Cosmic ordering and the power of positive thinking, Clare looks and sounds like a woman who knows what she wants.

Clare showed ‘needy hints’ when she was close to Dale (Picture: YouTube/ Bachelor Nation)

‘Her constant referencing of being thirty-nine years old and her hints about a snail-trail of dodgy ex’s she has left in her wake should hint at some acquired wariness and caution at meeting a guy vain enough to enter a TV reality dating show in the first place, but Clare’s years of experience had clearly taught her nothing, as she was happy to pick her husband in less time than it probably took her to choose her dress.’

The body language guru also revealed how Clare would drop ‘needy hints’ during the pair’s dates.

‘She dropped needy hints, even the “Oh I needed this so bad” as Dale lifted her off the ground as they hugged. Idealist Clare was swiftly telling Dale he had all the qualities of her dad and that: “You’ll never leave me”, a line that a weaker man than Dale might have heard as a little scary.’

Judi concluded: ‘So Clare might just have met her cosmic “twin” at last, meaning any fingertip blisters caused by warp-speed scanning of social media dating sites might possibly get a chance to heal at last.’

Meanwhile, Judi told us why Clare was the one calling the shots during the pair’s dramatic engagement in the fourth episode.

The Bachelorette continues Tuesdays in the US, while it is available to stream in the UK on hayu.
