The McQueen clan aren’t really known for playing by the rules in Hollyoaks, but it appears as if the sins of the past will come back to haunt them in a terrifying 35th anniversary story.

With Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) and John Paul (James Sutton) having received threatening messages, they soon discover that every member of their clan has received such texts — meaning they’re all being blackmailed!

Nana (Diane Langton) calls for help, summoning Mercedes and Theresa (Jorgie Porter) — both who arrive at The Dog to find a macabre doll sitting on the bar.

The electronic doll reads out the seven deadly sins and explains that if they don’t play for their past sins, then each of their biggest secrets will be revealed — resulting in them going to jail.

The clock is ticking, as the McQueens attempt to work out who is blackmailing them.

With ‘Wrath’ being the first of the deadly sins, Sylver (David Tag) believes that it must be in reference to him killing Breda (Moya Brady).

He’s desperate to stay out of prison, and therefore Mercedes asks James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) for the money to pay off the blackmailer.

The solicitor complies with her request, and thus Sylver believes he’s been saved.

However, matters take quite the turn when PC Kiss (Callum Kerr) turns up to arrest him for murdering Breda!

Who is it that’s targeting the McQueen clan?
