Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) gets quite the shock in Emmerdale when her estranged brother Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) arrives in the village.
The Emmerdale legend is taken aback upon coming face-to-face with her younger sibling, and thus the stage is set for a huge showdown, which ensues next week.
Moira is forced to revisit a dark period of her life during the showdown in question, as she attempts to make Mackenzie listen to what she’s got to say.
However, it’s not just Moira who newcomer Mackenzie clashes with, as he also has something of an altercation with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley).
Speaking to Metro.co.uk about the animosity that will develop between the two men, actress Natalie J Robb — who plays Moira — said: ‘I think it’s going to be tricky. Definitely, tricky. Like anybody with Cain, you never start off on a good foot, do you?
‘The story will unfold. I think it’s going to be a bit of a rollercoaster there, especially for Mackenzie and Cain. And Moira and Cain and Mackenzie! I would say that’s going to be tricky.’
While we’ve yet to learn what the future holds for Moira and her sibling, its safe to say that Mackenzie’s arrival has opened up a lot more story possibilities for the character, as her past can now be explored.
But could we see any more of her relatives arrive in the eponymous village?
‘Why not?’ Natalie enthused, ‘As long as they’re not all going to hate me! It’ll develop everything a little bit more, and Moira can become a little more colourful. Having her family and her siblings around her is quite a nice feeling.’
