Jose Mourinho’s return to Old Trafford with his resurgent Tottenham side tops the billing ahead of another big weekend of Premier League football.

Spurs have recovered from their opening day loss at Everton to embark on a run of four wins from their last five games, with the only blemish being last weekend’s highly controversial draw against Newcastle.

Elsewhere, Liverpool must cope without both Sadio Mane and Thiago Alcantara against in-form Aston Villa, while the most entertaining fixture of the weekend on paper looks to be Manchester City’s trip to newly promoted Leeds.

As ever, Betfair ambassador Dimitar Berbatov preview the action for Metro.co.uk…

Chelsea v Crystal Palace

I will go for Chelsea here. Lampard is trying to build something here with big players, young players. They need time, but they can win this game. Sometimes very good players can just take time to adjust to a new. Prediction: 2-0

Betfair Exchange Odds: Chelsea- 4/9, Palace- 15/2, Draw- 4/1

Everton vs Brighton

Everton are sure to be confident with how they’re going at the moment, and they can win this. Brighton are actually playing ok, and they were unlucky against United last week, so they could surprise Everton, but I will keep Everton to stay on their good run. Prediction: 2-1

Betfair Exchange Odds: Everton- 4/5, Brighton- 4/1, Draw- 11/4

Leeds vs Man City

This is a very interesting game, not just on the pitch, but managers also with Bielsa and Pep. Leeds are playing lovely football, they respect other teams but have no fear, and I would not be shocked to see an upset. I think City will ultimately just have too much quality and win, but Leeds will not lie down. Leeds will be delighted with 6 points from 3 games, and it could easily have been 7 or 9 if they got lucky against Liverpool. They will surprise plenty of people, like Sheffield did last season. Prediction: 1-2

Betfair Exchange Odds: Leeds- 8/1, Man City- 2/5, Draw- 5/1

Newcastle vs Burnley

I will go for Newcastle here, they are playing ok. I always expect more of Newcastle, they are a big club. They seem to aim for 40 points and then say ‘ok’, but they have a huge history and we should expect more of them. It is always a danger in a team that hasn’t won a trophy in some time, you get used to not winning and it is a hard habit to break. The old players give that mentality to the new players coming in, and the cycle never breaks. Prediction: 3-1

Betfair Exchange Odds: Newcastle- 8/5, Burnley- 11/5, Draw- 9/4

Southampton vs West Ham

I can see a draw here. West Brom had a good result at Chelsea, but it shows that even if you score 3 goals, it is not always enough if you don’t concentrate. I like Southampton also, they have a good team, but I think a draw here between two evenly matched teams. Prediction: 1-1

Betfair Exchange Odds: So’ton- 4/5, West Ham- 4/1, Draw- 11/4

Leicester v West Ham

I will go for Leicester here, Jamie Vardy is getting younger it seems! He certainly isn’t getting slower, and for a striker, this is so important. Rodgers is bringing them results, and they can continue. They are top of the table now, but it is very difficult to see them stay there for much longer. How often does lightning strike twice really? It is too early to get ahead of ourselves in the league, and the big clubs are still to come. Prediction: 3-1

Betfair Exchange Odds: Leicester- 4/6, West Ham- 9/2, Draw- 7/2

Wolves vs Fulham

This is an obvious one on paper unfortunately, Fulham have many, many issues now. The defence is the same as last season, they are leaking goals constantly. The new goalkeeper isn’t enough to help. I like Wolves, they have been unlucky. I saw the Fulham owner tweet out, and I assume he is very disappointed too. He can see they are leaking goals, and they need defensive players that will fit in at the back. Prediction: 3-1

Betfair Exchange Odds: Wolves- 8/15, Fulham- 7/1, Draw- 7/2

Arsenal vs Sheffield United

Ugh, poor Sheffield, they are suffering badly with second season syndrome. The style of last season, bullying teams, bullying players, that is gone, and they don’t look the same. Arsenal won on penalties against Liverpool last night, Arteta is having a positive impact, and their confidence will be good. They should be too much for Sheffield. Prediction: 2-0

Betfair Exchange Odds: Arsenal- 8/13, Sheffield- 11/2, Draw- 10/3

Man United v Tottenham

I think this will end up a draw. Both teams are up and down, they have very good strengths, and very bad weaknesses. I hope it’s not 0-0 and the football is good, but they are evenly matched. Prediction: 2-2

Betfair Exchange Odds: Man Utd- 20/21, Spurs- 10/3, Draw- 11/4

Aston Villa vs Liverpool

Liverpool are always favourites in almost every game. They are the team every team needs to match up against, and though it’s still early in the league, they can take 3 points here. Prediction: 0-3

Betfair Exchange Odds: Villa- 10/1, Liverpool- 1/3, Draw- 5/1
