Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) finds herself flirting with Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) in Emmerdale, but will she cheat on Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt)?
Chas and Paddy’s partnership is certainly one for the ages, but its been apparent for quite some time that something’s not quite right in their relationship.
The pair’s lockdown two-hander teased some conflict, and now that the events of the ITV soap are taking place in a post-lockdown world, some of that conflict is on display once more.
Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) goes to Bear (Joshua Richards) for some suggestions regarding Paddy and Chas’ relationship, as he hopes to get them back on track.
However, their efforts prove fruitless, as a huge argument erupts, and Chas storms out as a result — leaving Paddy to look after Eve.
In the Zen gardens, Chas finds herself distracted when she spots Al, who’s doing a good job of trying to hide from Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel) behind a bush!
The Woolpack landlady finds the whole thing rather amusing, but Al soon deduces what’s going on with her, as he suggests that — much like he — she is also hiding from someone.
Chas comes to the realisation that Al is correct, and that makes her unsure of whether to laugh or cry.
However, the pair end up flirting as they talk about each other’s partners, and it becomes apparent that Chas enjoyed herself afterwards.
Later, on the anniversary of Grace’s passing, Chas visits her daughter’s grave an reflects on her marriage.
Will Chas and Paddy break up?
